[ Squads ] The archive · 2003–2024
The real Team NoA, one squad per era: from the transatlantic founding roster to the Danish world finalists of 2007 and the oldboys of the 2020s, plus the Korean Warcraft III team. Photos appear only where a free licence exists; every other player carries the crescent.
01Counter-Strike · 2003–04
The roster bsl put together on 26 November 2003: three Norwegians, a Canadian and an American, which Liquipedia calls the first professional esports team with players from more than one continent. In its first month it reached the grand final of CPL Winter 2003 in Dallas and lost to Team SK.
02Counter-Strike · 2004–05
XeqtR joined in September 2004 and knoxville stepped back a month later. These five were the roster when NoA won CPL Winter 2004 in Dallas, beating the Eyeballers in the grand final, and they won the World e-Sports Games in Seoul against 4Kings in March 2005.
03Counter-Strike · 2005
By summer 2005 the title team had broken up and BrandTheGame had taken over management. In August NoA announced a new roster around XeqtR as captain: the Norwegian DarK and the Swedes Red, speedi and Kixer. It played its first tournament at the CPL World Tour stop in the UK.
04Counter-Strike · 2006
In January 2006 the Danes zonic and hpx joined with the Norwegians prb and xione, and DarK left. After a week of preparation the new roster won shgOpen 2006, beating fnatic 16–12 in the grand final, then flew to Seoul for WEG Season 4.
05Counter-Strike · 2007
Sunde replaced Paddy in May 2007 and completed an all-Danish line-up. It reached the grand final of the Electronic Sports World Cup in Paris and of the World Cyber Games in Seattle, finished second at both, and on 17 December 2007 moved to mTw.
06Counter-Strike · 2020–24
Not a comeback of the professional organisation but an oldboys team of the original players. Led and organised by guddo, NoA entered the Danish OldBoys CS:GO league, which started around 2020/21, and dominated it: champions in seasons 2, 3, 5, 6 and 8, and finalists in season 4, lost to Greasyfellaz.
07Warcraft III · 2006–07
On 11 November 2006 NoA signed the Korean Warcraft III team Clan Go, and the Counter-Strike club became a multi-gaming organisation. All six players were from South Korea. ShowBu left in March 2007 and Kei took his place, and HappY managed the team from 2007; the squad disbanded in October 2007.
